It's a beautiful and pared-back Rihanna that graces the August issue of Harper's Bazaar US. Gone is the fiery red hair, the matching scarlet pout and colourful talons, and in their place a more natural and muted palette that's peppered with golden, earthy tones. But while she might be more demure on the cover, she's nothing if not her usual candid self in the accompanying interview that focuses on life and love in the public eye, her rebellious nature — "[I'm] rebellious through my music, through my fashion, tattoos, and my hair," — and her derrière. Of the latter she says her svelte figure is not without its pitfalls: "I miss my ass. It just went away! I need a butt. I have an idea of one, but it's not living up to its full potential right now." Take a look at some of the beautiful shots captured by Camilla Akrans and head over to Harper's Bazaar for more from rebellious RiRi.
