The runways have spoken and there's a new nail shape in town: the stiletto. Word. It's already developed an A-list following with pointed talons seen on the hands of Fergie and Gaga in recent weeks. It all started back with the Fall shows of The Blondes, ThreeASFOUR and Victor DeSouza, but thanks to some serious support on the Spring '11 runways, we've decided this talon trend is worth a whirl . . .

TIP #1: Don't wear them to the office. This look might be oh-so on-trend an' all but your boss will FREAK if he sees you with claws (sorry, nails) that double as a lethal weapon.

TIP #3: This is a great shape to really elongate the fingers, so if your digits are a little on the short side, this is the nail shape for you.
TIP #4: While it's been popular in the US, we'd leave the black polish out of this look (unless you're dressing for Halloween) and stick with a neutral-toned hue à la Fergie.
