Dan Levy Reunited With His “Schitt’s Creek” Husband on 40th Birthday Trip to Italy

Dan Levy‘s 40th birthday vacation doubled as a mini “Schitt’s Creek” reunion. Earlier this month, the actor celebrated the special milestone in Italy with former costars Noah Reid and Sarah Levy, and seeing them hang together in 2023 is simply the best. In throwback photos Dan shared from the trip on Aug. 21, the eyewear designer smiled alongside his onscreen husband, real-life sister, and other close friends, including “Modern Family” star Jesse Tyler Ferguson. The group enjoyed an outdoor meal at sunset, drank plenty of wine (hopefully not Herb Ertlinger), and danced the night away inside an empty church. “The Summer I Turned Forty,” Dan captioned his Instagram post.

On his actual birthday, Aug. 9, Dan commemorated the occasion with a selfie he simply captioned “40” alongside a balloon emoji. Other “Schitt’s Creek” castmates, including Annie Murphy and Emily Hampshire, flooded the comments with a few lighthearted jokes. “You don’t look a DAY over 65ish,” Murphy wrote, seemingly channeling Alexis Rose’s signature sass. Hampshire chimed in, “I can’t believe I’m going to give you a compliment but… 40 actually looks really good on you. 🙄 happy birthday! now delete this.” Reid also got in on the fun by commenting, “Happy day my guy,” with a red heart emoji.

The stars of “Schitt’s Creek” have been booked and busy since the series came to a bittersweet end in 2020. Dan scooped up roles in Hulu’s “Happiest Season,” HBO’s “The Idol,” Disney’s “Haunted Mansion,” and Netflix’s “Sex Education,” while Reid welcomed his first child in 2022 and has been focusing on his music career, recently announcing a worldwide tour. Murphy’s résumé has grown by the day the past three years, as she’s starred in “Russian Doll,” “Kevin Can F**k Himself,” and “Black Mirror.” And let’s not forget about the heads of the Rose family, Eugene Levy and Catherine O’Hara – the former is set to play one of Diane Keaton‘s love interests in “Summer Camp,” and the latter will portray Delia Deetz in “Beetlejuice 2” next year.

Dan has regularly reunited with his “Schitt’s Creek” pals in recent years, meeting up with O’Hara at Paris Fashion Week in March and attending Reid’s Broadway debut show in New York City last April. Check out all the sweet-as-fruit-wine photos from Dan celebrating his 40th trip around the sun.
