The days are getting longer, the temperature is rising and people are slowly starting to defrost. Spring is upon us and in no time at all, summer will be here, which means it’s time to talk about the hottest hair trends you’ll see dominating these sunny seasons.
Jaye Edwards, founder and director of beloved salon EdwardsAndCo, has put together his spring and summer hair colour and style trend predictions and spoiler alert: you’re going to love them all. Think bouncy blowouts, curtain bangs, peachy copper shades and sunkissed locks.

Blunt Cuts
“Blunt ends are making a big comeback, offering a stark contrast to more playful, feathered looks with structure and boldness,” says Edwards. “Regardless of your face shape or hair type, blunt looks, in particular lobs and bobs, are guaranteed to create an elevated and powerful vibe. They are polished and timelessly chic.”
Classic Blow Drys
Bouncy blow drys are back, baby! “It’s the glamour alternative to texture beach waves that have dominated Instagram for the past few years,” says Edwards. “Defined by sky-high volume at the root and an unapologetic ‘done’ vibe, this flicky look is the 90s supermodel mood we all need more of in our lives.”
Curtain Bangs
Curtain bangs have been popular for a while now and they aren’t going anywhere anytime soon, according to Edwards. “Effortless, shaggy layers that frame your face perfectly are here to stay. They’re both the perfect gateway to full bangs and a killer standalone look,” he said.

For blondes in lockdown who currently have no access to salons, bronde might be the way forward for low maintenance colour.
