The Bob Is Back and Here’s the Hair Inspo to Take to the Hairdressers

The humble bob haircut circles through popularity every few years and while it is certainly considered more trendy at certain times, it never really goes out of style. Case in point: UK-based hairdressing insurance provider Protectivity recently conducted research looking at over 170 different hairstyles and cuts.

Analysing data from Google searches around the world, the bob was found to be the most popular hairstyle by far, with 222,580 average monthly searches. According to Stylist, it’s also the most popular haircut in 52 countries, including the UK, the US and Germany.

Following on from the bob in searches was ‘bun’ with 85,890 average monthly searches and ‘bangs’ with 85,830. Rounding out the top 10 searches were box braids, ponytail, cornrows, Afro, undercut, twists and half up, half down.

It’s no real surprise that the bob is the most popular style, given how chic and put together an edgy bob can make one look. While bob’s do require a little bit of upkeep (what with the regular haircuts to keep it in shape), the end result is definitely worth the maintenance.
