Another day, another multi-million dollar jewellery heist at the Cannes Film Festival. It's just been reported that on Tuesday, a de Grisogono necklace worth approx $2.6 million USD was stolen from a party the brand was having in Cannes. "These incidents are rare; it is actually the first time it has happened in our 20-year history," said de Grisogono's founder Fawaz Gruosi in a statement. "However when they occur, one must be proactive and collaborate with the authorities." Police in France are also still on the hunt for the jewellery stolen from a Chopard employee's hotel room in Cannes, but there are plenty of other, much older fashion and jewellery thefts that still haven't been completely solved. Case in point: only a portion of the legendary raid at the Harry Winston store in Paris was ever found, and it doesn't appear that all of Marc Jacobs's stolen Spring 2012 samples were found. Herein, a look at some of the most brazen, lucrative, and strange thefts in fashion. Photo: A police officer outside the Chopard store in Cannes.

Marion Cotillard Tears Up During a Sunny Photo Call in Cannes
Marion Cotillard did her best to hold it together when her eyes started to water in the middle of a photo call for The Immigrant at the Cannes Film Festival yesterday. She looked perfectly elegant while posing for photos in a white Alexander McQueen dress with her co-star Jeremy Renner, but when it came time to face the photographers herself, her eyes started to tear up. Marion giggled through the ordeal, and put on a pair of large sunglasses as she geared up for the film's press conference. She is no stranger to the flashing lights in the South of France as she premiered another new project, Blood Ties, at the festival on Monday.
It's been a dramatic week for Marion after a woman who was accused of stalking her in 2011 was sentenced to probation on Tuesday. Marion wasn't present at the sentencing, which took place in Brooklyn, as she was attending to business in Cannes.
