A group of high profile Australian women convened at the Prix de Marie Claire Beauty Awards for a luncheon yesterday held at the newly-renovated Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney. The event, hosted by the magazine’s editor and publisher Jackie Frank, celebrated the most outstanding Aussie and international beauty products launched in the past year, with some winners determined by readers. Lara Bingle, who tweeted that the lunch was “exquisite,” showed off a hint of her toned body in a black tummy-baring ensemble. Black was also the colour of choice for Charlotte Dawson, Erika Heynatz and Melissa Doyle, who’d had a One Direction-filled morning on Sunrise. Channel Seven TV reporters Samantha Armytage, Kylie Gillies and Sally Obermeder — who has been bravely battling breast cancer — brought a pop of colour to the event, while extra glamour came from former Miss Universe reps Laura Dundovic, Rachael Finch and Jesinta Campbell.
