Announcing the 2013 Independent Spirit Award Nominees

Awards season is heating up! The Spirit Awards were announced overnight, giving us the first batch of nominees in what's already shaping up to be an exciting race. Though the Spirit Awards honour independent film, there are lots of movies on this list that will probably make it all the way to the Oscars, like Silver Linings Playbook and Moonrise Kingdom.
