TV finally has its young Carrie Bradshaw! OnCam: Hi there, I'm Lauren Bradshaw, and here are three things to know about the young actress who's playing her in today's PopSugar Rush. It's one role with very big shoes to fill . . . CARRIE: "Hello, lover." Carrie Bradshaw is returning to TV on the CW's The Carrie Diaries, the Sex and the City prequel which follows the character during her high school days in the 80s. Blake Lively, Emma Roberts, Miley Cyrus, and Diana Agron have all been previously rumored for the project, but it seems we finally have our star — AnnaSophia Robb. The Hollywood Reporter announced yesterday that 18-year-old AnnaSophia has snagged the coveted part in the series pilot. VO: Her long blonde hair and petite stature certainly seem to be a good fit for the role, but if you're not that familiar with who she is, here are three things to know. Number one, you've probably seen her before. #1: You've probably seen her before. Much like her Carrie predecessor Sarah Jessica Parker, AnnaSophia got her start as a child star at the age of 9, and she has several big screen roles under her belt, including Bridge to Terabithia which she costarred in with Josh Hutcherson and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory where she played opposite none other than Johnny Depp. ANNASOPHIA ROBB: "I'm not afraid of anything." Number two, like Carrie, AnnaSophia has experience on the fashion week runway. #2: She has Fashion Week experience. Back in 2007, AnnaSophia took to the catwalk for a Fall Fashion Week show, but she's also been in the front row, attending Spring Fashion Week last year, and she's graced the pages of fashion magazines like Teen Vogue and Nylon. And finally, Denver-born AnnaSophia is a big city girl at heart. #3: She's a big city girl. During an interview with A Girls World, she revealed: "I'm kind of an urban girl. I like big cities. I like New York. I like London. I like L.A." So it sounds like she'll adapt to Carrie Bradshaw's metropolitan spirit just fine. Gossip Girl's producers Josh Schawartz and Stephanie Savage are helping helm the project along with a former Sex and the City writer/producer, so this is definitely one series to watch for. But tell us what you think of this casting news — do you think AnnaSophia is right for the role?
