We’re a few weeks into The Biggest Loser: The Next Generation, but last night the show introduced two sets of new contestants to shake things up not just on a local scale, but on an international one as well. 27-year-old Kevin, or “Big Kev” as he’s known, joined the show with his mother, Rosemary, and weighed in at 254.7kg, making him the heaviest contestant in the history of The Biggest Loser worldwide. The others to enter the fray were 22-year-old Cher, who tipped the scales at 172.2kg, and her mother, Anita. Cher is the heaviest girl this season and wants to lose weight so she can have a baby.
The Biggest Loser has been even more emotional this year with the theme of generational obesity and looking at where poor eating and exercise habits originate — at home and with parents as examples. Click through to see the new recruits.
The Biggest Loser: The Next Generation airs Sunday to Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. on Network Ten.
