UPDATE: Charlie sent an open letter to TMZ following news of CBS’ halting production, in which he calls creator Chuck Norre a “contaminated little maggot” who “can’t handle my power and can’t handle the truth.”
Lately it feels like there hasn’t been a day that’s gone by without some new twist emerging from the saga that is Charlie Sheen. The most recent update is that his wild antics have discontinued production on the latest series of his hit show Two and a Half Men. He recently gave a bizarre radio interview where he blasted the creator of the show, Chuck Lorre (he called him a “turd” and a “clown”), and it led to the following statement from Warner Bros. Television:
Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen’s statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production of Two and a Half Men for the remainder of the season.
Teamed with the rest of Charlie’s behaviour lately, this isn’t completely unexpected. Since being rushed to hospital following a night of crazy partying last month, Charlie has been back to rehab, hooked up with a new girlfriend (who he calls a “goddess”) and gone on holiday with his ex-wife Brooke Mueller, who he then booted from the vacation. The porn star he partied with before going to hospital also recently revealed that she had an abortion and that it could’ve been Charlie’s baby. And his father Martin Sheen compared his alcoholism to cancer. So it’s actually more of a surprise that his show hadn’t halted production earlier, given everything that’s going on. What do you think this means for the future of Two and a Half Men?
