Deni Hines Says Polly Porter Doesn't Deserve to Be on The Celebrity Apprentice Australia 2011

Deni Hines Isn't a Polly Porter Fan on The Celebrity Apprentice

In the lead-up to the premiere of The Celebrity Apprentice Australia, we knew we’d be talking a lot about people like Pauline Hanson and Max Markson, the stars who have featured prominently in the show’s promos. But the celebrity who has emerged as one of the biggest conversation points is singer Deni Hines. Deni found stardom with the band Rockmelons in the ’80s and ’90s, with hits like “That Word (L.O.V.E.)” — and she’s also the daughter of Marcia Hines. In the show’s first episode on Monday, Deni displayed some diva-like antics, such as when she refused to sing the Australian national anthem for less than $10,000 (OK, that’s an extra $5,000 for charity so we get it), and she also had a go at The Block winner Polly Porter for her celebrity status — or lack of. (She kept referring to Polly as “Poppy.”) She essentially told Mark Bouris that she didn’t think being a reality show star was enough reason to be a celebrity contestant on, well, another reality show.

Viewers have been vocal about their thoughts on Deni’s behaviour on Twitter — and they’re not exactly playing nice. What do you think about Deni’s attitude? Is she right in saying Polly doesn’t deserve to be on Celebrity Apprentice?
