Netflix’s Byron Baes has taken the country by storm, and apart from those explosive MAFS dinner parties, it’s all anyone can talk about. Centering around a group of artists, influencers and entrepreneurs in the coastal town of Byron Bay, the reality series gives viewers a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes lives of those we follow online.
But there’s one couple in particular that we can’t stop thinking about, and that’s Elle and Stav. After reportedly connecting over their shared desire to save the planet by being environmentally conscious, Elle Watson and Stephen “Stav” Rodan began dating in 2020. Their relationship was mainly long-distance, but the proximity didn’t bother either of them.
Speaking about their connection on the show, Elle said being in love with Stav was like a breath of fresh air, which is why she was ecstatic when he popped the question during a house party hosted by her roommate.
“This engagement has come out of the blue, and I don’t know if we’re ready for it,” Elle said. “But we’re on a mission to save the world, and what better way to do that together with someone that you love?”
Stav, who was also elated with joy, said: “There’s been a lot on my mind, but [proposing] was the smartest thing I’ve ever done.”
So, Are Elle and Stav Still Together?
Despite their solid bond, those around Elle and Stav have voiced their concerns about the quick engagement. Elle’s housemate Nathan Favro went as far as to say, “Based on things that have happened in the past and the things that Elle has actually said to me, I don’t know how long it’s going to last.”
As ominous as that sounds, it seemed he had a right to be concerned because Elle and Stav are no longer together. Aside from the fact that the philanthropist isn’t wearing a ring in any of her most recent social media posts, she went ahead and confirmed it via an Instagram comment.
“Stephen and I loved each other very much but we are living separately now :),” said Elle.
