Puberty Blues was a fantastic Australian drama in so many ways, but it wouldn’t have been half the show it was without its two young leads, Ashleigh Cummings and Brenna Harding, as best friends Debbie and Sue respectively. Ashleigh, 19, and Brenna, 16, played off each other perfectly, and portrayed a realistic best friendship between two girls coming to terms with growing up in the ’70s — parent problems, boy issues and more. That reel life relationship translated to real life, with the actresses becoming close off-screen as well. We caught up with Brenna recently to talk about her experience of shooting the drama and why she loved it so much — click through for her responses!
Puberty Blues is now available to own on DVD.
