James Gandolfini has died from a suspected heart attack while on holiday with his family in Italy. He was 51. HBO confirmed the news to the LA Times. The actor was best known for his portrayal of Tony Soprano in The Sopranos and in the past few years also had roles in films including Zero Dark Thirty, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone and Killing Them Softly. He had just wrapped Animal Rescue with Tom Hardy.
HBO released a statement today that said, "He was special man, a great talent, but more importantly a gentle and loving person who treated everyone, no matter their title or position, with equal respect. He touched so many of us over the years with his humor, his warmth, and his humility."
