Jessica Marais Leaving Seven's Packed to the Rafters to Crack the US

Jessica Marais Leaves Packed to the Rafters!

It feels like all the Rafters are leaving! At least all the girls on the show. Packed to the Rafters favourite Jessica Marais is leaving the show that made her famous to try and make a name for herself in the US. The Herald Sun reports that she has flown to the US to try and get work with an open-ended ticket and filmed her last scenes for the popular TV show last Monday. A Seven spokesman said, “After four seasons, Jess is taking a break from Rafters to explore some other acting opportunities. Creatively, it’s great to stretch and grow as an actor. She has Seven’s full support and will always be apart of the Rafter and Seven family.”

Jess had previously denied she was going to leave the show after finding love with her co-star James Stewart (they’re now engaged). But it seems she’s following in the footsteps of her colleagues Jessica McNamee and Zoe Ventoura, who both left the show last year (we all remember Zoe’s shocking exit). Jess Marais will still be seen on our screens until June and her character Rachel Rafter won’t be killed off (phew!), but what do you think this means for Rafters?
