Jon Hamm landed his first solo US Rolling Stone cover for the publication's April issue. He's gearing up for the April 8 return of Mad Men and talked about playing the complicated character Don Draper for six seasons. Jon also touched on the embarrassing talk about his private parts, which have received attention online, including a special Tumblr account, for years. Here's more from Jon Hamm in Rolling Stone:
- On jokes about his anatomy: "Most of it's tongue-in-cheek, but it is a little rude. They're called 'privates' for a reason. I'm wearing pants, for f*ck's sake. Lay off. I mean, it's not like I'm a f*cking lead miner. There are harder jobs in the world. But when people feel the freedom to create Tumblr accounts about my c*ck, I feel like that wasn't part of the deal . . . But whatever. I guess it's better than being called out for the opposite."
- On his similarities with Don Draper: "Don is a very complicated character, and I'm a fairly complicated individual, but that's pretty much where the similarity ends. I try to imbue Don with a humanity that is raw and misunderstood and meaningful . . . It's not that I just come in and throw a suit on and act super cool."
