Kate Middleton's Parents Carole and Michael to Contribute £100,000 to Royal Wedding

Kate Middleton's Parents to Contribute £100,000 to Wedding

Their daughter may be marrying into royalty but it doesn’t mean the Middletons are expecting their future in-laws to cover the complete cost of the world’s most anticipated wedding. Carole and Michael Middleton will reportedly pay almost £100,000 (approx $154,582) towards Prince William and daughter Kate’s wedding, with their contribution going towards things like hotel suites, bridal gowns, bridesmaids’ dresses, the maid of honour’s outfit and the honeymoon (with Jordan tipped to be the potential destination of choice). The hotel bill alone — which includes several suites at the Goring Hotel, where Kate and her immediately family will spend the night before the wedding — is expected to cost more than £20,000. As for Kate and maid of honour Pippa’s dresses? Kate’s reportedly come to a total of £30,000 while Pippa’s is around the £20,000 mark. The royal family will contribute to the rest of the royal wedding bill while the government will take care of security costs.
