Lady Gaga Dresses in a Latex Condom-Inspired Outfit to Promote AIDs Awareness With MAC

The Latest on Lady Gaga: Dressing Up As a Condom

Considering she arrived at the Grammy Awards in an egg-shaped womb so she could be “born” onstage for her performance of “Born This Way,” it’s probably fair to say that there’s nothing Lady Gaga won’t do for her craft or something she’s passionate about. (Whether she actually spent 72 hours “incubating” inside her egg is a different matter. And most of us think she didn’t.) So it shouldn’t surprise anyone that when she appeared on Good Morning America yesterday morning to raise awareness about AIDs as part of her role as a MAC beauty ambassador she was dressed as a condom. Or at least, it was a “latex-condom-inspired outfit.” On the program she said, “I want to get people started at home at a younger age with their children talking about HIV, talking about AIDS, talking about safe sex.” She hopes that her collaboration with MAC can raise $50 million for HIV/AIDs-related causes. Do you think Lady Gaga’s dressing the part helps the message get through, or is it OTT?
