Finally! After a teaser for the latest Superman instalment, a full trailer for Man of Steel is here. In this longer look, it's clear that director Zack Snyder's Superman may be the most psychologically burdened version of the icon so far. We meet Clark Kent (Henry Cavill) as a young boy who's perplexed by his superhuman abilities, which aren't helped when his human father (Kevin Costner) advises him to keep that side of himself hidden after he saves a school bus full of classmates. Fast-forward to him as an introspective adult working through his issues (made apparent by his beard and water meditation). He obviously has a way to go before he becomes the flying, red-and-blue suited hero we see by the end of the trailer.
There's so much to see in this preview, like Superman being hauled off in handcuffs (like in the poster), as well as famous characters, though those glimpses are pretty brief. Still, it's exciting to see Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Russell Crowe as Jor-El, and Michael Shannon as villain General Zod. We still have to wait until next June to see the movie, but you can take a look at the new Superman in action after the jump.
