We haven’t even hit the top 10 stage of MasterChef 2012 but we’re already getting the first promo for the next serving of the cooking show, MasterChef All-Stars, set to air on Network Ten during the Olympics. Over three weeks, 12 of the most popular contestants from the first three series — Julie Goodwin, Poh Ling Yeow, Chris Badenoch and Justine Schofield from 2009; Callum Hann, Marion Grasby, Aaron Harvie and Jonathan Daddia from 2010; and Kate Bracks, Hayden Quinn, Dani Venn and Kumar Pereira from 2011 — will compete in teams to determine which series gave us Australia’s best amateur cook. (The timing of the promo coincides nicely with the opening of the MasterChef Dining restaurant and pop-up bar in Sydney, which opens today.) It’s pretty cheesy, with the Mexican standoff theme and utensil and ingredient weapons, but it looks like it’ll be lots of fun. Which contestants are you looking forward to watching in the MasterChef kitchen again?
