The OC Star Mischa Barton Brings Hollywood Flair to “Neighbours” Reboot

Ramsay Street is about to get a dose of Hollywood glam with the exciting news that Mischa Barton will be joining Neighbours as a guest star! The international actor, renowned for her roles in “The O.C.” and “The Sixth Sense,” will portray the dynamic and unpredictable character of Reece. Reece is an American newcomer to Erinsborough who’s not quite who she appears to be.
But this isn’t Mischa’s first rodeo in the entertainment industry. The British-American actress has been lighting up the big and small screens for over two decades with her impressive range of talent. From her debut film role in “Lawn Dogs” to her iconic portrayal of Marissa Cooper in “The O.C.” Time and time again, Mischa has proved that she wields significant influence in the acting world.
And she couldn’t be more thrilled about the opportunity.
“I’m excited to be part of this iconic show’s next chapter, and I am really looking forward to being back in Australia, a place I know and love,” she said in a press release. “I think the character of Reece is going to be a great role for me to explore and play with.”
Executive Producer of Neighbours, Jason Herbison, is over the moon about the new addition to the show. “Mischa’s character will have an instant presence on Ramsay Street. Our loyal viewers are going to love her, locally and abroad,” he said.
If you’re also eager to find out when you can watch Mischa’s debut on the show, the new chapter of Neighbours will launch later this year. Network 10 will retain first-run rights in Australia, and episodes will be available ad-free on Prime Video in Australia seven days later.
