Please Marry My Boy 2012 Mothers' Final Decisions Do You Agree With the Mothers' Decisions on Please Marry My Boy? by Jessica Chandra 29/3/12 19 Reactions 11 Shares Print 0 7 4 0 0 The emotion-filled grand finale of Please Marry My Boy aired on Channel Seven last night, where the four mothers revealed who they had chosen as potential wives for their beloved sons. Some of the decisions were expected since some of the mothers — cough, Milena, cough — have shown blatant favouritism throughout the series. Tony’s mum Elva said of her matchmaker role, “It’s OK to step in if you can see your child heading in the wrong direction — it’s a mother’s job to do that, it doesn’t matter what age they are.” The mothers made their picks, but do you agree (even if it seems none of the romances went the distance)? BRENDAN: I always thought Edwina made a better match for Brendan than Little Anna. Anna seems like a nice girl, but was always in the lead in her relationship with Brendan which I can see would be an issue down the track. I think Edwina was genuinely just very shy, but she and Brendan seemed to be much more 'equal'. I wonder what may have eventuated if Edwina had been picked. MATT: I was surprised Karen picked Amanda over Koa. That said, I wasn't feeling all the sparks between Matt and Amanda either, so I honestly don't think either of the girls would have been 'the one' for him. Koa was too like his mother, and Amanda seemed too guarded. And he kept saying things like, 'We don't need to kiss, the connection is emotional' which is never a good sign. You need the physical attraction and spark as well as emotional connection for it to really work. P.S. I would definitely love the chance to go on a date with Matt… he seems like a really nice guy and I'm already in Sydney :D TONY: Tony - what can I say - he seems like a bit of a jerk, to be frank. But it was clear that he only had eyes for Tammy and apparently they're still in touch, so who knows. VLAD: Milena's choice, no surprises there. As I've said about Matt's girls, I also don't think either of Vlad's girls seemed like quite the right fit either. Liz should be thankful she wasn't picked, she always seemed way too independent and outspoken for him. Vlad is still saying he'd never move for a person, only for a job, which says a lot about how he'd deal with compromise and valuing someone's happiness. Andrea… maybe on paper it seemed like she'd be a perfect match for Vlad, but in reality I think she was too young. She didn't seem to deal well emotionally throughout the show, and she was always too quick to 'forgive' him after she'd been upset, then she'd drape herself all over him like she was desperate. It was very odd to watch, I never felt like she was herself around him. Overall, I think it was an interesting premise that mother knows best, but in reality doesn't work. 2 years Not surprised at all. This is the classic case of a old fashioned Europian mother that does not want her son to marry an Aussie and I think its not just Liz but any Aussie. Vlad does seem like a nice guy that mother is too much baggage. She would be the mother and law from hell. She will soon see that second generation Europian girls are no different from Aussie girls. Liz was really nice and I think would be a lovely partner for any guy. That Andrea seemed like a brat and I am sure her and her charming mother in law from hell will be butting heads heaps in the future. They all deserved each other 2 years I think this choice was the mother thinking of the type of girl she wanted as a daughter in law and not what her son would see as his perfect partner. The attraction with Tammie was undeniable and after all a lot of time is spent in the bedroom. The comment Magdellina made regarding Tammie showed she was a bit of a bitch. 2 years I normally wouldn't send in my opinion regarding this kind of show, however it has to be said: Tammy Lee handled herself in a very impressive way throughout the show, she showed dignity and class in the way she responded and so what if she has tattoos and white hair, i thought she was very likeable and mature. Let's all not judge others on their appearance please, it just shows up the people who treat them differently in a negative light. I think she would be a nice match for Elva's son. It would hurt the mothers more if their boys were to go against their own wishes and end up divorced and then for these mothers to hardly see their own grandchildren (listen up Milenna as this does happen in society where mother in law's interfere, i wouldn't wish it on anyone but it does happen) 2 years I was surprised with Karen's choice; I thought she was going to choose Koa. Milenna's was so predictable and not exactly fair. Liz was probably too nice and pretty for Vlad anyway, glad she spoke her mind in the end and had nothing to be sorry about! One day, Andrea's background won't save her. Elva's choice was probably more right than wrong; deep down, Elva was always iffy about Tammy Lee and she probably would have regretted her choice if she chose her. Magda is lovely and bubbly. Anne's choice is a bit uncertain; Edwina is a beautiful, smart and lovely young lady; she would have went well with Anne and Brendan because they both seem lovely too. She seems mature Little Anna seems to be the opposite, immature, probably too much so for Brendan.
