It’s been a sad few days for Hugh Hefner. The Playboy founder was all set to get married to Crystal Harris this weekend, but his 25-year-old fiancée called the wedding off yesterday, with Hugh, 85, breaking the news on his Twitter account, writing, “Crystal has had a change of heart.” So what caused Crystal to change her mind? She gave an interview to Ryan Seacrest on his radio show and said, “For a while, I’d been having second thoughts about everything, so I haven’t really been at peace with myself lately. It was all just happening too fast for me.”

Hugh is understandably heartbroken and tweeted yesterday, “Since we're not getting married on Saturday, I've scheduled a movie: "Runaway Bride." Seems appropriate.” But he hasn’t been without company — in fact, his three former Playmates Kendra Wilkinson, Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt have sent their support to him. The timing of the break up is unfortunate as the July issue of Playboy already introduces Crystal as “Mrs. Crystal Hefner,” though it seems a last-minute sticker may fix that problem. It has also been rumoured that Crystal was planning to dump Hugh at the altar as their wedding was going to be filmed for a Lifetime TV special. According to Crystal’s manager Michael Blakey there are no hard feelings. He told People, “The split was a mutual decision and the two remain good friends.” The two were engaged over the Christmas holidays and Crystal would have been Hugh’s third wife.
