Video of the Similarities Between Raunchy Comedies No Strings Attached and Friends With Benefits

Eerily Similar: No Strings Attached vs. Friends With Benefits

The Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis comedy Friends With Benefits, a fun, raunchy tale about two friends who decide to hook up for casual sex — none of that emotional stuff, thanks — is being released in August. Think you’ve seen it before? This year, even? Perhaps you have, if you saw No Strings Attached starring Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher. These films have more in common than just eerily similar premises: Natalie and Mila co-starred in Black Swan (and both went on to receive Oscar nominations, with Natalie winning her category), while Mila and Ashton shared plenty of onscreen time together during That ’70s Show. I rather enjoyed No Strings Attached, even if it was only because it was great to see Natalie out of crazy ballerina mode, but I think the pairing of Mila and Justin makes more sense than Natalie and Ashton, which is why I’ll still be checking out their take on the concept. To see how many similarties they share, watch the clip below.
