After more than two months of wowing Australian viewers, The Voice comes to an end tonight with a spectacular grand final. The four finalists, Karise Eden, Rachael Leahcar, Sarah De Bono and Darren Percival, performed twice last night in a bid to score last minute votes from the public — they also debuted original songs — and will take to the stage with their respective coaches tonight before the winner is announced. (If you look at social media numbers, you’d think that Joel Madden’s contestant Sarah has it in the bag.) It will also mark the end of an entertaining season with coaches Seal, Delta Goodrem, Joel and Keith Urban, who have all provided conversation-starting moments and brought about some interesting Twitter accounts. The positive show hasn’t been without controversy — remember the dismissal of Carmen Smith? — but it’s sure given Australian TV some memorable moments for 2012. From the blind auditions to live shows, let’s go back through the highlights.
The Voice Live Final airs tonight at 7:30 p.m. on Channel Nine.
