After four weeks of auditions, Super Boot Camp and international home visits on The X Factor, the top 12 acts for 2013 have been chosen! Last night’s episode saw the four judges deliver the verdict to their categories — this year Ronan Keating is mentoring the under 24 boys, newcomer Redfoo will guide the under 24 girls, Natalie Bassingthwaighte is taking the groups under her wing, and Dannii Minogue is hoping for a third X Factor victory with the 24 and over category (she’s won twice on the UK version). Some of the decisions were expected — there was no way 14-year-old Jai Waetford wasn’t getting through, and there would have been outrage if 18-year-old Jiordan Tolli had been let go — but there were still plenty of surprises. The live shows kick off this Sunday so click through to see this year’s top 12 and let us know if you think they have what it takes to go all the way.
The X Factor airs on Sundays at 6:30 p.m. and Mondays at 7:30 p.m. on Channel Seven.
