These Are Our Favourite Celebrity Baby Names of 2021

It’s all well and good to know what Aussies are calling their bubs, but what about some of the most high-profile celebs? We’re always wondering if trends impact celebrities the same way they do us, especially when it comes to something as personal as baby names.
We’re happy to report that many celebrity couples who had babies in 2021 are going for super individual and unique names.
While we can’t look past the classics — it’s really amazing to see some adorable newborns with names as beautiful as they are — it’s also really incredible to see babies come into unconventional family structures.
Because love is love and new life is a miracle and the world we live in is becoming more and more unique and accepting by the year.
These are our favourite celebrity baby names from 2021 so far.
Rose Opal Esmè
Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash’s adorable bub has one of the longest and most fancy names we’ve ever heard. In full, her name is Rose Opal Esmè Solomon-Swash. I mean, we’re obsessed.
The couple welcomed their newborn in October. They also have a son together, named Rex.
Sire
Usher welcomed a son, on September 29, 2021, named Sire Castrello Raymond.
This is Usher’s second child with his girlfriend Jenn Goicoechea after their first bub, Sovereign Bo Raymond, last year.
Sovereign Bo and Sire Castrello are both unique, individual and really quite impressive baby names.
Rowan
The Hills star Kaitlynn Carter and partner Kristopher Brock welcomed their “chunky little guy” Rowan Carter Brock to the world via an Instagram post three weeks ago.
This is the couples first child together.
Sasha
Riverdale‘s KJ Apa and girlfriend Clara Berry welcomed a baby boy— Sasha Vai Keneti Apa. Clara announced via Instagram that he was born on September 23, 2021.
The two are rumoured to be married, due to KJ referring to Clara as his “wife” in an Instagram caption.
We’re wrapping our heads around the fact that Archie-kins is a dad in real life, but he seems to be loving every minute of it (including adding his “wife’s” breast milk to his morning coffee).
James
The name James seemingly never goes out of style. Kirsten Dunst welcomed her second child with Jesse Plemons, and they named him James Robert. He’s a younger brother to their first son, Ennis.
News of their bub was revealed by Dunst in an interview with The New York Times, along with a timeline; he was born in May 2021. The couple is famously private, which means we don’t have a photo of James, but we can imagine that he is uber cute.
Cosmo
We love this name. We love it even more knowing that it’s what Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost called their first child together.
Scarlett and Colin have got to be one of our favourite celebrity couples ever. We’re actually a little jealous of you, Cosmo.
Ismail
Queer Eye‘s Tan France and his hubby Rob welcomed their son, Ismail France, born July 10, 2021.
The couple announced via Instagram that Ismail was delivered by a surrogate seven weeks early and spent the first few weeks of his life in the NICU. He’s doing beautifully now, and we’re super happy for them.
Also, what a gorgeous name!
Oonagh
Back in June, Amber Heard revealed that she’d welcomed a baby daughter earlier this year. Named Oonagh (pronounced oo-nuh) Paige Heard, Amber said that she decided she wanted a child and that she wanted to do it “on her own terms”.
We love this representation of single motherhood and that not all pathways to having children have to look the same.
Frederick
Hilarious comedic queen and feminist icon Katherine Ryan famously got back together with her high school sweetheart a few years ago, and they got married and had a baby in June this year; Frederick.
This is the couple’s first bub together and Katherine’s second child. She has a daughter from a previous relationship.
Elliot
Pretty Little Liars star Troian Bellisario and Suits star Patrick J. Adams welcomed a daughter, Elliot Rowena Adams, back in May.
This is the couple’s second child, with their eldest daughter Aurora born in 2018. We absolutely love the name choice of both children.
Side note: this couple makes up two of the most attractive stars from the hottest TV shows of 2011. Love this for them (and us).
George
Samira Wiley and her wife Lauren announced the birth of their first child together via matching Instagram posts back in May. They revealed that they’d had a daughter and that her name is George Elizabeth.
