Cory Monteith and Lea Michele kissed in the stands at a hockey game in Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night. They watched the New Jersey Devils beat the New York Rangers in the Eastern Conference Finals. The teams will go head to head again in the next match of their series on Saturday. Lea was rooting for the Rangers, but she seemed more focused on showing her boyfriend love during the action. It was just the couple's latest show of affection after they stepped out holding hands earlier in the day. Lea and Cory went shopping in SoHo after attending the FOX Upfront presentation for Glee on Monday.
The stars of Glee came together on Tuesday night for a screening and presentation with the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in LA. The event got off to a scary start when Amber Riley, who plays Mercedes, collapsed on the red carpet after doing a few press interviews. She tweeted, “Hey guys, I'm okay : ) I got a little dizzy from all the photog flashes! You'd think I's be used to it by now, still a red carpet amateur I guess. Gonna get checked out but I feel fine. Thank you for all the concern and well wishes. I'd also like to thank the photographers for being do professional and not taking photos of me on the ground. I truly truly appreciate it. Could have been super embarrassing.” She made her way inside to join castmates including as Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Chris Colfer and Darren Criss to talk up the show with creator Ryan Murphy. On the red carpet Jane Lynch also hinted that Dianna Agron, who wasn't at the screening, may be finishing up with the show.
Lots of stars took a brief break from the bands to hit up some of the pool parties near the Coachella festivities today. Our girls on the ground spotted Katy Perry hanging out at the Lacoste Live! bash, along with Gerard Butler, Lea Michele and Cory Monteith, Lauren Conrad and our very own Aussie export, Teresa Palmer. The outdoor bash was one of several happening around the Coachella Valley this afternoon. One of the day's most stylish soirees was the Mulberry party, held at The Parker hotel. The likes of Kate Bosworth and her director boyfriend, Michael Polish, can be seen getting cosy at the fashionable party. Michelle Williams clutched her best actress in a comedy or musical Golden Globe for My Week With Marilyn en route to the Weinstein Company's after party last night. She posed on the carpet withouth her best friend and date, Busy Philipps. The girls met up inside, though, and Busy later tweeted her happiness for Michelle. Busy wrote, "That was genuinely one of the most fun nights ever. So incredibly proud of my best friend!" Harvey Weinstein got shout-outs in mutiple acceptance speeches last night, being alternatively referred to as "the punisher," or in a memorable quip from Meryl Streep, as "God." Meryl was another winner who turned out for the company's event. She took home the best actress in a drama honour for The Iron Lady.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who's a close friend of Harvey's, caught up with his wife, Marchesa designer Georgina Chapman. Jason Statham, Rosie's boyfriend, was also there to share champagne with guys like Rob Lowe, Alexander Skarsgård, and Gerard Butler. Lots of stars and friends-of-the-famous rolled through the bash, including Cameron Diaz (modelling her new 'do), Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, and a Beverly Hills housewife. The People's Choice Awards took over the Nokia Theatre in LA yesterday with major stars from Twilight, The Vampire Diaries and Hunger Games in attendance. TV stars Lea Michele, Nina Dobrev and Neil Patrick Harris were just some of the lucky winners who took home beautiful Waterford crystal statues. Maroon 5, Chloë Moretz and Adam Sandler nabbed further honours.
Robert Pattinson debuted a new hairstyle and accepted a trophy for best dramatic film on behalf of his Water For Elephants cast. He was presented the award by friend and Twilight co-star Ashley Greene as well as Chuck's Zachary Levi. Big-screen comedy Bridesmaids got bragging rights for best comedy, though Kristen Wiig missed out on the fun in order to rehearse for this week's SNL. Zooey Deschanel, Lea Michele and Joshua Jackson joined the rest of the stars from US network Fox for Sunday night's TCA bash in Pasadena. Zooey was on her own for the panel earlier in the day, but her New Girl guys joined her at the party to mix and mingle with the TV press. Lea was decked out in a gorgeous blue dress with a daring slit and the rest of her Glee co-stars were also scattered throughout the event talking about what's next for their characters. Joshua Jackson's show Fringe has an uncertain future on the network, though his handsome face was still a very welcome sight. Diane Kruger usually comes along with Josh for the TCAs, but she skipped out on this one.
The Hollywood premiere of New Year’s Eve, the latest ensemble film from director Garry Marshall, took place in LA today, and lots of the stars hit the black carpet at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre to celebrate its debut. Lea Michele, in a sexy, plunging Valentino dress, seemed to have a great time with her onscreen love interest Ashton Kutcher, and she also had the support of some of her Glee guys, such as Cory Monteith and Darren Criss. Katherine Heigl and Sofia Vergara matched in their black, strapless dresses, while Hilary Swank, Fergie and Abigail Breslin opted for sparkly creations. Zac Efron and Michelle Pfeiffer stuck together for some shots, and have been doing lots of their press together. Other stars in the movie include Sarah Jessica Parker, Jessica Biel and Ryan Seacrest. New Year’s Eve is released in Australia on Dec. 8.
