Second to the sea of scarlet on the Golden Globes red carpet was the proliferation of gowns embellished with gold. And we're not taking about all-over, sequinned top-to-tail gold — but a less obvious and more effective use of embellishment to highlight shouders, waistlines and necklines. A well placed trim here, a smattering of jewels there; it really was about using this high-shine detailing to draw attention to the best bits.
