Put the pencil skirt down (snore!), we've found a way more sexy path to looking and feeling like a lady for Spring Summer 2014/15. And is anyone really surprised that it's Carla Zampatti's daughter who is showing us how? Bianca Spender really put on a show last night, sending models around a vast warehouse space, where they navigated an eery, wind-torn house. Basically, it was one of our favourite shows of the week (so far) for its theatrics and its fashion.
Soft lilac everything was the theme to start, with garments perfectly-cut close to the body. At the front, dresses were fitted and ladylike, but it was when models started walking away that things got sexy. Dipping low at the back, fine gold chains swung as models sashayed around the runway, adding an exotic twist to the line. If it wasn't chains, it was capes, which added interest to slim-fitting pantsuits.
Miles of midriff was a key trend on the Bianca Spender Spring Summer 2014/15 runway, making skirt-and-top ensembles a little more sultry. While anyone can slash a top to make a crop, this collection oozed quality. This is one designer who really understands what women want to wear. Scroll on to see the runway for yourself.
