As soon as Julia Nobis stepped onto the runway it was clear Kym Ellery had kept up the volume for Spring Summer 2014/15. Flared sleeves continued into the season, finishing plunging necklines with a distinct Ellery touch. While the silhouettes were long, and sleeves flared, the main focus was on the torso, which Ellery decorated with peplum-inspired layers or fabric detailing. Even seemingly-slick blazers were business at the back, with a curve of fabric rounding out the silhouette through the middle.

Silk and satin fabrics in pearlescent shades of blush, ivory and black were a key trend throughout. In fact, the entire presentation exuded a clean, minimalist vibe, free from fussy details and bold colour so that the focus could remain entirely on the silhouettes. Accessories were edgy, with nose-rings and dramatic head chains the stand-out.

It seemed fitting for this iconic Australian designer to present to the back-drop of famous Bondi Beach. Keep scrolling to see the show pictures.
