How did you get into the modelling game?
Well, I didn’t want to do modelling when I was younger, it wasn’t something that I always thought I’d do but my mum always said, “Oh, yeah, you’re going to do it,” and I was like, “No, mum!” [Laughs]. Then I just got asked to do a job and I thought, “Oh, I’ll just do this one,” and then I got asked to do a second one and then it kind of went on from there, to the point where I couldn’t just quit. I’m really enjoying it now. I think I was just trying to rebel against the fact that my mum was still doing it at the time. . . But I think Hudson Jeans, and doing the cover of British Vogue really started it off for me. I love it now, I really enjoy it.
How did your relationship with Sunglass Hut start?
It started quite a while ago and they just said they wanted me to be their global ambassador and I was like, “Oh, wow!” It’s really cool because I’m doing the blog as well, so it’s really exciting for me. Every month I get all these new pairs of sunglasses – I’ve never had so many pairs before! – and I get to take pictures of them, and I love taking pictures. It’s also good because I travel a lot, so it’s almost like having a photo diary. It’s lovely to travel around with one brand because you get to work with all the same people, so it kind of feels like a home away from home.
