News just in: Luxury e-tailer Net-a-Porter is giving its Asia-Pacific customer base a little extra love. A new NAP site has been specifically set up for our corner of the world, which, thanks to a just-opened distribution centre in Hong Kong (Net-a-Porter's third in HK), will be able to fast track their express shipping to Oz by a whole day. The Asia-Pacific-specific site will also allow customers from Hong Kong, Australia, China, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand, India, Indonesia, Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam will be able to shop in their preferred currencies, which for us means saying sayonara to those pesky pounds to AU dollar conversions. Net-a-Porter's Managing Director Alison Loehnis is keeping us keen, saying, "There’s much more in the pipeline and our plans include the integration of additional payment gateways for customers in China as well as a same day delivery service in Hong Kong and next day shipping service to major cities in Australia and China." Bring it.
