Toi et Moi must have known the exact way to my heart: by starting their Spring/Summer '12 show with an adorable little girl singing a tune in French. Oui, it's true. And the cuteness didn't stop there, with a fine-tuned collection sashaying down the runway in shades of tangerine, black, white and touches of gold filled with just the right amount of playfulness. Bird print denim, frill-trimmed dresses and jailhouse stripes were presented alongside sexier pieces in the form of mini hemlines, cut-out knitwear and ikat print separates, while unexpected pops of paisley and sequins kept the collection from feeling too youthful. This is clothing that is as fun as it is wearable. Those Frenchies are onto something.
