Target cannot be stopped. The US arm of the global chain just announced its latest designer collaboration with Prabal Gurung. Launching Feb. 10 in the States, the limited-edition line will include women's ready-to-wear pieces (ranging from approx $20 to $200) and accessories (bags, shoes, and jewellery will go for approx $13 to $40). "This collection was inspired by love, and if Target's guests can feel even a little bit of the love that I felt while designing this collection, then I will consider it a job well done," said Gurung. "The collection is inspired by a girl's journey through the different stages of love and the clothes she wears during each milestone — from the first date to meeting the parents to the engagement." While we have yet to see what the complete lineup looks like, expect the designer's distinct aesthetic to be on blast. Case in point: your first look at his bold-printed Target wares pictured right here. His penchant for impeccable tailoring, feminine silhouettes, and stand-out prints will take form in "refined dresses, mixed-media skirts, edgy blazers, and shoes." Before Roberto Cavalli rolls into town for his own Aussie Designers for Target collab, take a look at the Gurung's upcoming holiday collaboration items with Bergdorf Goodman, plus a few of our favourite Spring '13 looks we hope to see reincarnated come February.
