Jimmy Choo shoe queen, Tamara Mellon, met her regal match on Wendesday when meeting Queen Elizabeth to receive her Order of the British Empire at Buckingham Palace. She looked ever-so-chic in a polka dot Dolce and Gabbana blouse and pencil skirt with (of course!) patent Jimmy Choo heels. Since 1996, Tamara can be credited with making the once small boutique shoe company a now global accessories powerhouse, worth approximately $321 million dollars. The ex-Vogue Accessories Editor was awarded the OBE in recognition to her services to business and charity. Tamara commented, "I am so thrilled to be receiving this great honour and to be recognised in this way. I am grateful to everyone at Jimmy — and our customers around the globe — for helping make our success possible. While our brand has global reach, the roots and heritage of Jimmy Choo are uniquely British so I am especially pleased and proud of this honour." Bravo Tamara!
