Zimmermann has gone all soft on us. Not in in a bad way. Autumn/Winter collections are usually full of dark, stony colour palettes and tough-edged silhouettes; designed to guard against the frosty mornings and long grey days. Not for Zimmermann. A pale but interesting combination of cream, peach, pale pink, gold and powder grey play with expectations. Nicky Zimmermann spoke to us exclusively, saying “The starting point for the collection was that feeling you get when you go to see a great, iconic concert. The sense of being in the moment, that anything is possible, free and uninhibited. I love the strong stage presence of musicians and how their personality brings so much style to what they are wearing.” And her favourite piece? “I love our Rising Floral print that runs through the collection, it’s moody and soft, but not too pretty. I really like the Knot Dress in print worn back with a tougher boot and a hat making it feel strong, yet relaxed. And everyone wants the Dazed Metallic Pussy Bow Top and Rising Utility Skater Skirt — it’s understated glamour and a little bit rock.” Step inside to see what Nicky's talking about. . .
