The Hadid Sisters Are Unrecognisable With Bleached Brows

Thanks to a handful of celebrities, bleached eyebrows became one of 2021’s defining beauty trends, with no signs of slowing down. At Versace’s fall/winter 2022 show during Milan Fashion Week, Gigi and Bella Hadid were among the many models potted with smoky-eye makeup that drew attention to their lightened, white-blond brows. The sisters were virtually unrecognisable as they walked down the runway in fiery-red corset outfits.

Gigi and Bella’s bleached transformation was paired with smudged black liner, similar to Julia Fox’s graphic-eye look at Paris Fashion Week a month prior. Renowned makeup artist Pat McGrath was responsible for the dramatic beauty looks on Versace’s runway. While Bella’s bleached brows appear to be temporary – she was spotted with darker eyebrows following the show – Gigi still seems to be rocking her new look in Milan.

This isn’t the first time the sisters have dyed their brows in the name of fashion. For her first Prada campaign and on the fashion house’s runway back in 2019, Gigi trotted out platinum eyebrows. And at Haider Ackermann’s Paris Fashion Week show in 2020, Bella debuted freshly-bleached brows, along with a sculptural bouffant hairstyle.
