For a snack time healthy treat, make carob and cottage cheese bliss balls.
1 cup low fat cottage cheese
2 cups coconut
1/3 cup sultanas
1 tablespoon of carob powder
Extra coconut for rolling over the balls.
Mix all ingredients together and form into balls, roll balls in extra coconut and refrigerate till firm.
This snack will provide you with healthy omega 3 fats, calcium, healthy fruit sugars, protein and micronutrients including magnesium, iron, folate, thiamin, niacin, pantothenic acid, choline, potassium, copper, manganese and vitamins K, B6 and B-12. Stick to two balls per serve and share among your friends!
