Imagine a music festival — like Good Vibes or a smaller version of Big Day Out. Sub-out the denim cut-offs and converse, sub-in lycra and trainers, and you’ve got She Runs the Night.
Base camp was in the centre of Sydney’s Centennial Parklands, with a 10km route surrounding the hub of live music, the recovery area and finish line. It was a sold out race, so imagine 6,000 exercise-mad chicks clad in matching neon all pumped to hit the pavement. The girl power was palpable. The Saturday night, 7pm start time only added to the party vibe.
