Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth linked up with their Catching Fire co-star Sam Claflin this morning for a photo call at the extremely rainy Cannes Film Festival! The trio were able to escape the elements by posing inside the Majestic Hotel. Jennifer, Sam, and Liam are in France to hype up the second installment of The Hunger Games series, which is out in Australia on November 21. Also smiling for the cameras were Lionsgate co-chairmen Rob Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger and director Francis Lawrence.

The cast and team behind the film are busy despite the release being six months away. It was just announced that COVERGIRL will launch the Capitol Collection, a range of makeup products inspired by the film. And Liam made sure to enjoy the social side of Cannes too. Last night, he and a group of guy friends checked out the Rev Run and DJ Rukus set at Belvedere's party inside the VIP Room club.

Liam Hemsworth stepped out with a group of guy friends last night in Cannes at Belvedere's big soiree. The actor was one of several celebrities in attendance; Solange Knowles also arrived just before Rev Run and DJ Ruckus took to the turntables to spin a set full of throwback hip-hop for the crowd. The Help's Ahna O'Reilly also made an appearance at the party, which was nestled in an underground VIP space in the J.W. Marriott, right in the heart of the city's bustling festival scene.

Liam is in Cannes to celebrate the Hunger Games franchise, while Miley Cyrus has been tweeting about spending time in the recording studio back in the states as she works on new music. Liam's second film in the series isn't screening during the festival, but the cast — including Jennifer Lawrence — gathered today for a Catching Fire photocall (pics coming soon!), and Lionsgate is throwing a bash in honour of the film later tonight.

Chris, Liam and Luke Hemsworth joined several celebrities in LA on Saturday for City Year's third annual Spring Break: Destination Education party, a fundraiser to keep at-risk students on the path to graduation. The Hemsworth brothers posed on the red carpet with AmeriCorps members — who serve as tutors, mentors and role models to students — while television heartthrobs Ed Westwick and Max Greenfield followed suit. The non-profit cause also brought out Julianne Hough, Rashida Jones, Hailee Steinfeld in a striped Dolce & Gabbana dress, Octavia Spencer, and others.

Inside the event, stars snacked on food, checked out interactive booths, and caught performances from DJ Sky Blu of LMFAO and Skylar Grey. Octavia was on hand to pass out City Year jackets as one of the organisation's host committee members, which included Channing Tatum, Anne Hathaway, Vince Vaughn, and others who were unable to attend.

Robert Pattinson took charge and led his girlfriend Kristen Stewart through the busy crowd, while Diane Kruger and her beau Josh Jackson couldn't keep their hands off each other. Miranda Kerr jetted into Sydney to model the new Qantas uniforms, and hung out with John Travolta at the Gala Dinner a few days later, while Rebel Wilson did Australia proud as the host of the MTV Movie Awards. Of course, no one was immune to the tragic Boston bombings early in the week — and Bradley Cooper paid a visit to a very special survivor on April 19. Liam Hemsworth Works Up a Sweat While Miley's Dad Doubts Marriage

Liam Hemsworth hit the gym in LA by himself yesterday.

Liam Hemsworth hit the gym in LA by himself yesterday. Liam's workout session coincided with Billy Ray Cyrus' appearance on ABC News, where Miley Cyrus' father opened up about his daughter's impending, though uncertain, wedding while promoting his new memoir, Hillbilly Heart. "I know as I was writing the book I wanted to keep that particular moment as open-ended as possible. They're young. They're kids. The great news is, they're great friends." When Billy Ray was asked directly about the likelihood of Miley and Liam making it down the aisle, he said, "I don't know. I really don't. I play it by ear and I know whatever is meant to be, that's the way it's going to happen."

Despite the resurfaced uncertainty over Liam's personal life, he has plenty of professional business to focus on. He heated up the MTV Movie Awards on Monday during his presentation of the first teaser for Catching Fire. There is also speculation that Liam will land the lead in Ricardo de Montreuil's sci-fi conspiracy thriller, The Raven.
