Mark Wahlberg wore an all-black ensemble to the NYC screening of Pain & Gain at the Crosby Street Hotel last night. He was joined by rapper 50 Cent, Peter Facinelli, who had girlfriend Jaimie Alexander by his side, and New York Giants football star Victor Cruz for the movie's NYC debut. Olivia Palermo and boyfriend Johannes Huebl also joined Mark to take in his latest film. Missing from the action was his co-star Dwayne Johnson, although he and Mark linked up last week to premiere Pain & Gain in Miami.

Last night was an unexpectedly sombre occasion for Boston native Mark on the heels of the Boston Marathon bombings. Mark took to his Twitter account yesterday to wish his hometown well, saying, "Thoughts and prayers with my hometown Boston today." Mark was torn between supporting his film and expressing his worry for his family members back in Boston, and he conveyed his true feelings about the tragedy in an interview with reporters last night, explaining, "I really didn't even want to come tonight. I hadn't really heard much — I spoke to my mum, and most of my family seems to be OK. It's such a big event, there's so many people there. It's horrible man. It's [expletive] disgusting, man. I just — I'm very upset."

Jaime, who donned Marchesa, arrived on the arm of her husband, Kyle Newman, while an Erin by Erin Fetherston-clad Ashley made the rounds, getting compliments on her braid, with boyfriend Scott Speer. After posing on the carpet, the ladies moved to the hotel's rooftop to mingle with male attendees like Twilight's Peter Facinelli and actor/dancer Derek Hough. San Diego got a star-studded dose of excitement when Comic-Con rolled into town late last week. The annual convention brings superfans together with celebrities promoting their upcoming big- and small-screen projects, and our US editors were right there on the scene.

The cast of Breaking Dawn Part 2 kicked things off and shared their memories ahead of the release of the final instalment in November. Michelle Williams joined Mila Kunis for a panel on Oz: The Great and Powerful, and Mila returned to chat up Family Guy. Matt Damon swung through with Elysium, and Jessica Biel linked up with her Total Recall buddies Colin Farrell and Kate Beckinsale. There was more fun on Saturday night with The Vampire Diaries gang gathering for press and a party, and some of the True Blood guys — like Stephen Moyer, Sam Trammell and Joe Manganiello — on the scene, too. Kerry Washington rolled through with Django Unchained, and even the Glee kids stepped out.

The duo posed on the red carpet before heading into a large panel with their costars. Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene, Peter Facinelli and Nikki Reed were on hand after kicking off the fun at a special party in their honour on Wednesday. It's a bittersweet appearance for the actors, since it's their last time at Comic-Con on behalf of Twilight, but Rob joked that he might just return next year dressed as Edward Cullen.

The bash was conveniently held at the Nokia Theatre, where all the fun had gone down prior to the screening. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson were cute on the red carpet, but they evidently skipped the bash. She looked amazing in a high-slitted gown and spoke on the red carpet about the amazing Carolina Herrera dress she gets to wear as Bella Swan. She said, "I was very relieved to love it as soon as I put it on." Robert, meanwhile, said the thing he'll miss most about Edward Cullen is the opportunity to work with his castmates. He said, "I've grown up with them, so it's like leaving school. You might not necessarily see anyone again!"
