Tom Brady recently traded the field for a rare red carpet appearance. On Jan. 31, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback attended the premiere for “80 For Brady,” in which he portrays himself on screen. The comedy, also produced by the NFL star, follows four lifelong friends who set out on an adventure to see Brady play in the Super Bowl. The premiere marks his first red carpet since finalizing his divorce from Gisele Bündchen in October 2022.

Dressed in a casual, all-black outfit, Brady smiled for photos both solo and with fellow cast members Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno, Sally Field, and Lily Tomlin. It’s not often the famed quarterback is at an event like this – he even joked about his awkward posing on Twitter afterward, writing, “What do you do with your hands at a movie premiere?” He was last seen on the red carpet with Bündchen at the 2019 Met Gala.

Following the appearance, on Feb. 1, Brady announced via Instagram that he was “retiring for good.” He previously revealed his retirement in February 2022, before reversing his decision and returning to the Buccaneers the next month. “I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning, I figured I’d just press record, and let you guys know first,” he said in a video thanking his family, friends, and fans for their support.

Bündchen, on the other hand, made her first public outing following their split in her native Brazil back in December 2022. The former supermodel enjoyed a night out in a stunning golden gown at Vivara’s 60th anniversary dinner. Since then, it appears she’s been recharging in Brazil, and the two are focused on co-parenting their kids, 13-year-old Benjamin and 10-year-old Vivian.
