Melissa Rosenberg hit the red carpet at the Emmys in LA yesterday. She was there as a writer for Dexter, which she wrote for up until last year. For now, however, she's focusing all her attention on the two Breaking Dawn scripts.

The Emmy awards were yesterday, and after the show and reporting from the press room, I still have so much to say. I'm applauding all the winners, but some of my other highlights had nothing to do with trophies. Check out my top 10 moments from this year's Emmy show.

Last night out US Sugar Sisters sat in the Emmy press room as each honoree spoke with excitement and genuine surprise about his or her win (check out the full list here), but several of the winners threw me for a loop. Julianna Margulies seemed like a shoo-in for outstanding dramatic actress until The Closer's Kyra Sedgwick was called. But then Margulies's Good Wife co-star Archie Panjabi cancelled out both Mad Men ladies Christina Hendricks and Elisabeth Moss in the supporting actress category.

The fun-filled Emmys ceremony was just the beginning of the evening as the stars flocked to the many afterparties around the city until the wee hours of the morning. The first stop for presenters, winners, and fellow nominees was the official Governor's Ball. Newlyweds Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer were then off to the HBO soiree, with Anna changing out of her Alexander McQueen gown and into a shorter, flirtier LBD by the same designer.

Last night's Emmy Awards was full of pretty ladies and gorgeous guys, but the real hotness was centred around the evening's loved-up attendees. Longtime couple Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon showed sweet affection that rivalled Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer's newlywed glow. Amy Poehler and Will Arnett brought lots of laughs, while host Jimmy Fallon and his wife Nancy didn't stop smiling on their way in.

Jimmy Fallon sang and danced as host of the Emmys in LA last night, and the fun kept coming for him and his wife, Nancy Juvonen, as they moved on to the Governor's Ball with other winners, nominees, and presenters. Mad Men's Jon Hamm raised a glass to his show nabbing its third consecutive best outstanding drama series award—do you agree with its win? New mum Amy Poehler stuck close to Tina Fey, while Kevin Bacon couldn't take his eyes off his lovely wife and best actress in a drama honoree, Kyra Sedgwick.

The action in LA moved last night from the stage at the Emmys on to the press room, where the big winners showed off their new gold. Humanitarian honoree George Clooney led the pack by speaking about Brad Pitt's equally good deeds, and Tom Hanks toasted his HBO miniseries The Pacific. Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston, meanwhile, had dual wins for Breaking Bad.

Jimmy Fallon provided lots of laughs and tunes at tonight's 2010 Primetime Emmy Awards while TV stars graced the stage in gorgeous gowns with great-looking guys. Between the fun star-studded opening (that was Kate Gosselin getting dissed, BTW not Sophie Monk) and Jimmy's farewell to 24, Lost and Law and Order, he kept the show rolling as we eagerly awaited George Clooney's humanitarian moment. Big winners of the evening including Modern Family, Mad Men, and Breaking Bad.

The stars of Mad Men may have been snubbed in the acting categories at the Emmys, but the cast crammed together in the press room with creator Matt Weiner after winning best drama series. They laughed off their reputation for being party animals while Jon Hamm and Weiner took the microphone to talk reactions and what makes Mad Men so great.
How does it feel to win three years in a row?
