We've been counting down the memorable highs and lows from 2010, but there is one person in particular who had a very good year: Taylor Swift. Time magazine named her one of their most influential people back in April, and now Entertainment Weekly has crowned her Entertainer of the Year. Swift is the youngest performer ever to receive the recognition from the magazine, and she worked hard for the title. To recap, the singer took home four Grammys earlier this year, made a big Hollywood movie, and most recently, picked up an American Music Award. Oh, and somehow in all of that commotion, she created another album, Speak Now, which has already taken off like gangbusters and broken records for first-week sales. Obviously Swift has been a busy lady, but it could be argued that 2009 was a bigger year for her, since that's when she really blew up on the music scene and became a household name. As for 2010, there were just so many artists who left their mark (Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, or Eminem immediately come to mind). Did Swift really best all of them?

Miley Cyrus has laughed off reports that she is engaged to Aussie boyfriend Liam Hemsworth after she was spotted wearing a diamond ring. Although Miley recently revealed that she thinks he’s “the one”, they aren’t rushing to the altar just yet. She tells Us Weekly, “I got it (the ring) made in London and everyone thought it was diamond when it wasn't. It was the cheapest thing ever. So if I do get a promise ring, it better be real!” She left Liam home last night and attended the Grammy Awards with her mum and it looks like he might be on his own for Valentine’s Day as well. When asked about her plans for the romantic day, she said she was “working” adding, “I’m really boring.”
Well, according to Kimberly Kimble, the stylist who created the superstar's look, it's Bella Via Hair Glitz, which she worked into Beyonce's hair as an accent to her mani. So now you can all sleep tonight, safe in the knowledge that Beyonce's hair bling wasn't a figment of your imagination. What do you think of it? Interested in getting yourself some?

The fun didn't stop last night after the Grammy Awards wrapped up at the Staples Center. Stars who were nominated and those who weren't headed out to make the after party rounds, with Katy Perry and Russell Brand leading the way to the EMI Bash at the W Hotel. The engaged couple, who don't yet have plans for their wedding, joined Nicole Richie and the Madden brothers for a bash that also brought out Lindsay Lohan. LL was soon off to finish her evening at Voyeur, while across town the Bug Music label brought out Crazy Heart's Jeff Bridges, American Idol's Kara DioGuardi and songwriter T-Bone Burnett.
Once the fun on stage at last night's Grammys was over, the winners headed to the press room to show off their newly acquired gold. Taylor Swift had her arms full with her four statues and opened up about how she manages to hold them all. Lady Gaga, meanwhile, tried to balance her two awards with her futuristic hat, as Carrie Underwood's Grammy practically blended into her gown. Presenter Sheryl Crow joined Jennifer Lopez, who looked hot showing some leg in Versace. Fergie and her Black Eyed Peas boys were also there to celebrate their big evening—make sure to check out all the winners!
The Grammy Awards took over LA's Shrine Auditorium Sunday night, with many of music's biggest stars heading in from the red carpet to see who took home gold. Kicking off the show was a performance from Lady Gaga, which featured a special duet with Elton John in special Gaga-esque makeup and glasses. Beyonce Knowles wasn't able to accept her statue for Song of the Year, which she won for "Single Ladies," since she was getting ready to take the stage and sing a cover of Alanis Morissette's "You Oughta Know"—watch it here. Ryan Seacrest was soon up to introduce Miss Swift, who joined legendary Stevie Nicks for a rendition of "Rhiannon." Britney stuck close to Jason Trawick all night long. One of the ceremony's cutest moments was when Rihanna and Jay-Z brought up his nephew, Solange Knowles's son Julez, onstage to accept for "Run This Town," though he politely answered "no thanks" when asked if he wanted to say anything to the crowd—check out all the winners!
Fergie and the Black Eyed Peas were together for an energetic mix of their recent hits, but it was the Michael Jackson tribute that took things to another level. Lionel Richie introduced a group of artists including Usher, Celine Dion and Carrie Underwood to sing Michael's "Earth Song." The piece was interestingly broadcast in 3-D, though they were back to regular 2-D when Michael's kids Paris and Prince came out to accept an honourary award on behalf of their father. Another touching moment came when Mary J. Blige and Andrea Bocelli performed "Bridge Over Troubled Water" as a tribute to the people of Haiti. It was Beyonce herself who won the Best Female Pop Performance, and she adorably thanked her husband Jay-Z in the front row, even breaking from their usual super-private strategy saying, "I love you!" The biggest honour of the night went to Taylor Swift with her Album of the Year award, making it a pretty sweet night for the star after also winning Country Album of the Year. Afterward she stepped back to the press room to chat about her big wins!
