Nicole, Guy, Miranda and More Represent the Aussies at the Golden Globes
Some of our biggest Aussie exports were among the A-listers at the Golden Globes in LA yesterday. Awards show regular Nicole Kidman had presenting duties during the show, and was accompanied on the red carpet by husband Keith Urban on her way in. Guy Pearce was the only Australian nominated, in the best supporting actor in a TV series or miniseries category for his role in Mildred Pierce, but the honour went to Game of Thrones’ Peter Dinklage. Elle Macpherson, who’s hosting a new NBC show called Fashion Star, also made a stage appearance to present with Ashton Kutcher, and then hit the after parties. Colin Firth Celebrates the Globes With NBC, Nicole Richie and Jon Hamm
NBC hosted a post-Golden Globes bash last night at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in LA. Best supporting actor winner Christopher Plummer made the rounds with his newly-acquired statue, and he said hello to last year's best actor champ, Colin Firth. Colin kept close to his wife Livia, who's known for wearing green fashions on the red carpet. Yesterday, Livia was decked out in a dress made of recycled plastic bottles that had been designed by Giorgio and Roberta Armani.
Mad Men buddies Jon Hamm and Elisabeth Moss said hi to NBC actor Jack McBrayer, who plays Kenneth the Page on 30 Rock. Fashion Star ladies Nicole Richie and Elle Macpherson also made the rounds at the network's party. Elle seems to have made some new friends, including Chuck's Zachary Levi! Charlize and Leonardo Bring Their Star Power Inside InStyle's Bash
Charlize Theron rubbed shoulders with fellow nominees inside last night's InStyle party following the Golden Globes. She was a best actress in a drama nominee for Young Adult, though the honour ended up going to The Iron Lady's Meryl Streep. Nonetheless, Charlize was in the mood to celebrate with her fellow best actress contender, The Help's Viola Davis. Leonardo DiCaprio also turned out on the special evening. He was up for best actor in a drama for J. Edgar, and that distinction would end up going to the hilarious The Descendants star George Clooney. Other stars let loose at the magazine's event with editor Ariel Foxman. Sofia Vergara toasted Modern Family's best TV comedy win with her pal Diddy, after they spent New Year's Eve together in Miami. Kate Beckinsale made the rounds, too, as did Jessica Chastain, Heidi Klum, and more!

Michelle Williams clutched her best actress in a comedy or musical Golden Globe for My Week With Marilyn en route to the Weinstein Company's after party last night. She posed on the carpet withouth her best friend and date, Busy Philipps. The girls met up inside, though, and Busy later tweeted her happiness for Michelle. Busy wrote, "That was genuinely one of the most fun nights ever. So incredibly proud of my best friend!" Harvey Weinstein got shout-outs in mutiple acceptance speeches last night, being alternatively referred to as "the punisher," or in a memorable quip from Meryl Streep, as "God." Meryl was another winner who turned out for the company's event. She took home the best actress in a drama honour for The Iron Lady.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who's a close friend of Harvey's, caught up with his wife, Marchesa designer Georgina Chapman. Jason Statham, Rosie's boyfriend, was also there to share champagne with guys like Rob Lowe, Alexander Skarsgård, and Gerard Butler. Lots of stars and friends-of-the-famous rolled through the bash, including Cameron Diaz (modelling her new 'do), Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, and a Beverly Hills housewife. Moneyball's best supporting actor contender Jonah Hill said hello to Sacha Baron Cohen, who was out supporting Hugo and its best director winner Martin Scorsese. A Dangerous Method best supporting actor nom Viggo Mortensen was in a great mood while talking about Spanish soccer, and Jodie Foster hung out with her sons Christopher and Charlie.
Miranda and Orlando, Rachel, Sofia and More Party Post-Golden Globes With InStyle
InStyle hosted another of its famous post-Golden Globes bashes at the Beverly Hilton Hotel last night! As always, the magazine gathered some of the biggest stars from TV and film. Will Arnett and Amy Poehler joked around on the party's red carpet, while Sofia Vergara prepped to celebrate Modern Family's best comedy series win. Rachel Zoe wore a dress from her own collection to mingle with friends, and Orlando Bloom threw an arm around his Dolce and Gabbana-clad wife Miranda Kerr on the way inside.
Miranda and Orlando didn't have projects in the running last night, but they had plenty to toast anyway — Orlando had a birthday Friday, and Miranda was just named a new celebrity ambassador for Qantas Airways. They had plenty of famous pals to share Moët with last night, including Kate Beckinsale, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Zooey Deschanel, as well as other Globes winners, like The Help's Octavia Spencer, Boss' Kelsey Grammer, and Luther's Idris Elba.
