Awards season has finally come to a close, which means a lot of actors and actresses will be expanding their trophy cases. Stars like Daniel Day-Lewis and Jennifer Lawrence swept the season, but there were also plenty of surprises along the way. Take a look at the movies that won big at the shows, from the Critics' Choice Awards all the way to the Oscars.
The Critics' Choice Awards were handed out tonight, with Silver Linings Playbook dominating the comedy categories. The drama categories were a bit more varied, with Daniel Day-Lewis nabbing the trophy for Lincoln but Argo winning best picture and best director for Ben Affleck. The Critics' Choice is one of the only awards shows that specifically honours action movies, and those accolades went to Jennifer Lawrence for The Hunger Games and Daniel Craig for Skyfall.

The star-studded fun kicked off on the red carpet at today's Critics' Choice Awards and continued into the show. Nina Dobrev made a colourful entrance at today's Critics' Choice Awards in LA in an embellished Monique Lhuiller dress.
