There are more than a few celebrities we can rely on for a good laugh — and Hamish Blake certainly hasn't let us down this time around! The radio funnyman kept us entertained on more than one occasion this week, first with his Justice Crew quip, and secondly when 50 Cent (yes, the 50 Cent) singled him out on social media. Why? You'll have to click through to find out! Luckily, Hamish's mate Andy was there to back his buddy up. Also needing a bit of support? The poor female celebrity who got mistaken for a man, One Direction's Liam, who had his underpants stolen while in Sydney, and Ke$ha, who had some bad news to share with her Australian fans. There's much more inside — come along!
Jennifer Lopez was joined by her co-star Jason Statham at a screening of their new movie Parker in NYC yesterday. The pair posed together on the red carpet, with J Lo in a white Lanvin dress. Other stars at the event included Nicky Hilton, 50 Cent, and Jennifer and Jason's co-star Patti Lupone.
Jennifer has been busy promoting her movie in NYC, hitting up The Daily Show and Good Morning America earlier this week. She also recently opened up about her relationship with Casper Smart in a Spanish interview on Univision's El Gordo y la Flaca, where she revealed that she was hurt when the press insinuated that she was paying for her boyfriend. She said, "I'm not perfect. I go through difficult times as others but always try to be human and a good person . . . When you say things like that, that I'd 'pay for a boyfriend,' it hurts me — it hurts me to the heart."
Leonardo DiCaprio debuted Django Unchained in NYC yesterday. Leo was joined by his co-stars Jamie Foxx and Samuel L. Jackson, as well as director Quentin Tarantino, on the red carpet. Leo, who is currently filming The Wolf of Wall Street, also celebrated alongside pals Olivia Wilde, John Legend, Liv Tyler and Cameron Diaz. Leo and Cameron have been seeing a lot of each other lately, as they were spotted celebrating for charity in NYC back in November.
Django's premiere came just ahead of this morning's SAG nominations. Despite all the awards season buzz around the film, it received zero nominations. Nonetheless, early reviews for Django Unchained are excellent. Australian audiences will get to see Quentin's latest for themselves when it's released on Jan. 24.

The annual CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute event, which honours those making differences in their communities and around the globe, filled LA's Shrine Auditorium with plenty of stars yesterday. Emma Roberts was on hand to present in a short black Maria Lucia Hohan dress, while Sofia Vergara chose dark hued Dolce & Gabbana and Brooklyn Decker went with a metallic Christian Dior number. Miley Cyrus, who performed “The Climb,” arrived in a revealing yellow Roberto Cavalli gown with boyfriend Liam Hemsworth by her side. They weren't the only famous faces to show their support at the event since AnnaLynne McCord, Mary-Louise Parker, Christy Turlington, and others also came out for the show. CNN's own Anderson Cooper has since returned to NYC, but did his part by hosting the evening and wowing a few celebrities like Emma, who twittered that meeting him backstage was a dream come true.
It’s been a few years since Mariah Carey performed for the son of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi at a party in the Caribbean in 2006, but the pregnant singer is only now realising the mistake she made in accepting at $1 million pay cheque to sing four songs. Understandably, five years ago it would’ve been hard to know that the people you were entertaining would turn out to be murderous dictators (following the recent slaughters in Libya) and in light of the events Mariah issued a statement, saying:
I was naïve and unaware of who I was booked to perform for. I feel horrible and embarrassed to have participated in this mess. Going forward, this is a lesson for all artists to learn from. We need to be more aware and take more responsibility regardless of who books our shows. Ultimately we as artists are to be held accountable.
Other performers who have received large fees from the Libyan dictator include Beyoncé, Nelly Furtado, Usher and 50 Cent. Earlier in the week they were called to donate the money they’d earned to charity, and Beyoncé’s rep said her payment was donated to earthquake relief efforts for Haiti over a year ago. Nelly has also given away her share for singing at a party in 2007.
Vanity Fair pulled off another star-studded Oscars party last night. Some stars, like Jon Hamm, Jennifer Westfeldt, Emma Stone, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, arrived earlier to eat dinner and watch the show on TV, while others turned up after attending the big event hosted by Anne Hathaway and James Franco in person. Reese Witherspoon was solo on the red carpet before the show, but once at the bash she met up with her fiancé, Jim Toth. Cameron Diaz and one of the evening's performers, Gwyneth Paltrow, made it a ladies night as they caught up in a corner, but young lovers Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez hardly left each other's sides. Natalie Portman and Colin Firth, the best actor and actress winners, walked inside with the best accessory possible, their Academy Awards. She stuck close by her fiancé, Benjamin Millepied, following her stint in the press room talking about their baby, while Colin was finally able to get in some dancing with his wife.
Plenty of other Hollywood couples were able to sneak in PDA, as Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel cuddled up on a couch. Madonna chose to make things a family affair, showing skin in a lacy black dress alongside her daughter Lourdes. For others, it was about catching up with old friends. Jake Gyllenhaal had a nice chat with 50 Cent, and newly single stars Jude Law and Scarlett Johansson shared a moment documented in pictures. Michelle Williams, who was nominated for the best actress honour that ultimately went to Natalie, spent the whole evening with her friend and date Busy Philipps. Selena momentarily left Justin Bieber to catch up with her friend Taylor Swift, who managed to not be photographed anywhere near her ex Jake. He also had another former love, Reese, to avoid as well. See lots more photos from all the parties and make sure to check out all of our fashion and beauty coverage!
Park City was bustling with celebrities over the weekend as the 2011 Sundance Film Festival got underway. The Bing bar was a huge hot spot with events from the My Idiot Brother bash to a late night Florence and the Machine concert, while the Variety lounge hosted their share of talent. Skullcandy and Express held nightly concerts at Harry O's, James Franco let loose at the Playboy event, and Adrian Grenier enjoyed a Chefdance meal. There was a lot going on, and it's just the first couple of days — even Oprah was there! Robert Redford of course continues to oversee the whole show, which has provided another excellent group of premieres — stay tuned for our coverage from the festival!
Many of Hollywood's biggest stars headed out to LA's California Science Center LA Saturday night for the annual Heaven Gala thrown by the Art of Elysium, the organisation dedicated to getting artists to volunteer their talents to help children battling serious medical conditions. James Franco was on hand to receive their Spirit of Elysium award for his dedication to the charity, and Pop US snagged a minute with him on the red carpet before he headed inside for the cocktail hour — he confided that his preparation for hosting the Oscars with Anne Hathaway is going well. He's made the award season rounds after getting lots of critical love for his role in 127 Hours, but his personal faves of the year were The Town, Inception and I Am Love.
Kirsten Dunst and Rachel Bilson also smiled for the cameras, while Nicole Richie experimented with a bold 20s look — check out Fab's picks for the top 20 outfits of the evening! Rachel was feeling under the weather, but she still turned out to lend her name to a cause she told us is very near to her heart. Brad Goreski made a dapper appearance, and he mentioned that he's been super busy jet-setting around the world working on his brand new styling gigs. Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Jennifer Love Hewitt shared about their excitement for today's Golden Globes, and True Blood hunk Joe Manganiello lovingly smiled for the cameras with his wife-to-be Audra Marie. Leighton Meester showed a little skin in her deep V sequined gown, but she had to skip out on the actual event, which included dinner and a Vogue-sponsored fashion show.
