We love it when there's a big Australian red carpet event, because it gives us an opportunity to showcase the amazing beauty on show from our Aussie celebrity darlings, and the ASTRA Awards was no exception. Asher Keddie was our favourite, she wore the beautiful braided style we've been highlighting for a few weeks now, and looked breathtaking. Mila Kunis was on the red carpet over in the US promoting her new film, Ted, and her eyes had us locked in a trance. Other pretty beauty looks this week include a red lip from Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Michelle Williams' perfect pixie cut. All set for some zoom action? Let's go!

Molly Meldrum Makes a Triumphant Industry Return at the Star-Studded ASTRA Awards
Some of Australia’s brightest television stars gathered for the ASTRA Awards held at the Sydney Theatre at Walsh Bay last night. The event honours the shows and talent on subscription television, and some of the winners included Donna Hay for favourite female personality, Andrew Winter for favourite male personality, and Cloudstreet for most outstanding drama (the full list of winners can be found here).
Rove McManus, Asher Keddie, Ruby Rose and Megan Gale were among the presenters handing out awards, but the most talked-about person to take the stage was Molly Meldrum, who made a special appearance to present the coveted channel of the year honour to Fox Sports. It was his first official outing since his critical fall in December, and he showed the results of his recovery after being carried out on stage by four men dressed as Egyptian slaves. Molly said to the crowd, who were all on their feet, “I am so honoured to be involved in this year’s ASTRA Awards. What an incredible show and a fantastic night looking back over the industry.”
Small Screen Stars Celebrate TV Success at the Astra Awards
Last night many Aussie celebrities tweeted about the need for a water taxi as they tried to make their way to the 9th annual Astra Awards through rainy Sydney streets. Held at Sydney Theatre and hosted by Lee Furlong, Tara Moss and Helen Dalley, the night celebrated the best of Australian subscription television. Sarah Murdoch emerged as one of the big winners, taking home the viewer-voted trophy for favourite female personality — the way she handled last year’s Australia’s Next Top Model debacle worked in her favour! ANTM also won most outstanding reality program, which was cause for judges Alex Perry and Charlotte Dawson to join in Sarah’s celebrations. Rove McManus returned with wife Tasma Walton to present an award, and there were musical performances from Jessica Mauboy, Katie Noonan’s Elixir Trio and Guineafowl. The night’s biggest award for channel of the year went to The LifeStyle Channel for the second year in a row.
Party People! See Who Frocked Up for the Astra Awards
Even torrential rain couldn't keep the celeb-pack away, with a flock of pay TV's most stylish stars frocking up for the 2011 Astra Awards in Sydney last night. Awards aside, we are in truth only interested in what was worn! Sarah Murdoch looked flawless, wearing the same Tom Ford ankle wrap heels that Jennifer Aniston donned just yesterday, whilst Claudia Karvan and Kate Waterhouse looked just as elegant in white and black respectively. Honourable mentions go to Erin McNaught who shone in a draped marigold dress, and Lee Furlong who got glam in a one shouldered velvet gown. Duck under the red rope and scope the rest of the celebrity style that was on show!
Fab Poll: Ruby Rose Vs Erin McNaught

Hot young things Ruby Rose and Erin McNaught caused a stir at last night's Astra Awards with their choice of sparkly strapless dresses — Erin's mirror-ball number is very Balmain-esque doncha think? Whilst Ruby looks like a young Madonna (circa 1980) in her edgy leather bodysuit. Which TV presenter do you think looks the most fab?
Who Wore It Best Out Of The Fab Four?

The Astra Awards lured Australia's A-listers out from the cold. And it's nice to see they pulled out all the stops. Who do you think is the fairest of the bunch?
Rate It or Hate It: Sarah Murdoch at the Astra Awards

Australia's Next Top Model's Sarah Murdoch chose a nude-coloured Bianca Spender gown — looking every bit the Grecian goddess — for last night's Astra Awards. She claims she didn't have much time to pamper before the big event, but we think the new mum looks simply sublime! Over to you folks now ... Like, love, loathe?
